Closing gaps in lactation care by empowering families to independently meet their goals through personalized lactation care and education.

Our society paints this beautiful picture when it comes to motherhood, the postpartum period, and breastfeeding. Many times, it is unfortunately the opposite, and MMW has set out to change that. It is our mission to not only normalize human milk feeding in our community, but to acknowledge the struggles of parenthood and the level of support required in this vulnerable time. It really takes a village to raise a family and we cannot wait to be a part of yours!

What Families Are Saying

  • “Abbey absolutely changed my life and saved my breastfeeding journey. She made me feel so heard, seen, supported, and she IMMEDIATELY identified the issue as being oral ties. She referred me to a local specialist who was able to release my daughter's oral ties and in a matter of a couple weeks she was latching properly and exclusively breastfeeding with no nipple shield, no triple feeding, no formula supplementation, etc. Abbey is a fierce advocate for her patients and goes above and beyond (times a million) to find solutions for their individual problems. She is open-minded and supportive of any form of feeding, she does not ever make a mom feel guilty or shameful for choosing to stop breastfeeding/pumping or for any parenting decision honestly. Abbey is passionate about lactation and is always keeping up on current literature/education. She is an absolute gem and I recommend her to every single expecting mother that I know (and they've all raved about her as well)! So very grateful for Abbey's knowledge, expertise, and most importantly-her compassion and support in a very difficult time!”

  • “You will not find a better lactation support system than Mal’s Milky Way! From my very first 1:1 consultation to the weekly Weight Wednesday support groups, I have felt so welcome and at home.

As an under-supplier, I never imagined I’d still be breastfeeding five months in—with no plans of stopping!—especially after all the challenges we faced. We navigated latch struggles, bottle preference, exclusive pumping, side preference, tongue tie, low milk supply, and supplementing.

Whether you’re pumping, nursing, or doing a bit of both, I 100% recommend Mal’s Milky Way. Their team truly cares and meets you where you are on your feeding journey.”

  • “I have worked with both Abby and Greta at Mal’s Milky Way and they’re amazing! So educated and stress free appointments! With my first baby, I went to a different lactation consultant provider and there was no continuity of care. I was so stressed receiving different information and just focusing on supply, Mal’s Milky Way focuses on you and your baby. They have helped me feel so reassured and confident with breastfeeding. They also helped with mouth exercises to help my little one’s tighter mouth and well as reflex exercises! I would recommend them to all mamas!”

  • “I cannot say thank you to Greta enough for all of her love and support throughout my nursing and lactation journey! She helped me in so many ways and I am so grateful! Cannot recommend them enough!”

  • “MMW saved my breastfeeding journey with my second born. From the beginning, Abbey was supportive, encouraging and most importantly, realistic (!!!) in how to be successful nursing with a toddler at home. I cried happy tears after our first meeting, as she helped me feel so confident and that is a feeling I’ll never forget. I dealt with engorgement, nipple trauma, poor latch (that eventually led to a tie release), decrease in supply - you name it, I had it, and Abbey was right there by my side along the way figuring out which steps to take next. I truly couldn’t have done it without her and am so thankful for her knowledge and support during this fragile time. My only regret is not hiring her sooner.”
